[0001] FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a lighting module for the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle.
[0002] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In the field of lighting the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, it is known to use conventional filament bulbs as light sources. However, in the automotive field as in other fields, light-emitting diodes (or LEDs) are used more and more frequently as a source of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). light, especially for reasons of consumption. Either we realize a monochromatic lighting, or we use a set of LEDs respectively emitting in the red, the green and the blue to obtain a white light, or any other color on order, according to the control signal applied to the LEDs . However, if it is desired to control the light spectrum of the illumination, and if it is further desired that it be stable in time, that is to say in particular with the temperature, this requires electronic control circuits which require the space available, especially for the optical and electrical inputs / outputs, which also reduces the space available inside the vehicle, space always being an important parameter for a motor vehicle. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention is to provide a lighting module for the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, which is compact, which is closed to prevent light leaks, and which can be industrialized. at a minimum cost. For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a lighting module for the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, comprising: - a housing, - luminous means arranged in the housing and able to emit a lighting beam of light having a wavelength selectively selected from at least two predetermined distinct wavelengths; - electronic means for controlling the light means arranged to control the emission of the illumination beam with the selected wavelength; electrical interconnection carrying the luminous means and the control means and interconnecting them, - electrical connection means of the light means and / or electronic control means with the outside of the housing, - optical interface means ensuring guiding the lighting beam out of the housing.
[0003] In this way, the case according to the invention which contains the light sources and their control electronics is light-tight, compact and easy to manufacture industrially, so inexpensive.
[0004] According to various embodiments of the invention, which may be taken together or separately: the light means comprise at least two semiconductor emitter chips each emitting a light radiation of distinct wavelength. the light means comprise three semiconductor emitter chips emitting a light radiation respectively red, blue and green. the emitter chips are light-emitting diodes. - The box further comprises temperature sensing means for sensing the temperature of the light means and connected to the electronic control means. - The temperature sensor means are intended to capture the temperature in the vicinity of the light means. The temperature sensor means comprise a thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient. - The box further comprises electrical protection circuits, carried by the interconnection support and connected between the electronic control means and the electrical connection means. - The housing has a base and a cover, the cover being configured to cooperate with the base so as to close the housing. - The cover is configured to cooperate with the base so as to close the housing in a light-tight manner. the interconnection support is configured to be arranged in the base. the connection means are arranged on one and the same face of the interconnection support. - The electrical connection means, the base and the cover are configured so that the connection means and / or the interconnection support are mechanically held when the housing is closed. - The housing has a hinge between the base and the cover arranged to allow rotation of the cover relative to the base between a position in which the housing is open and a position in which the housing is closed. - The housing can be advantageously made of plastic material. If necessary, the base, the cover and the hinge can be made of the same material. The connection means are intended to cooperate with a connector for receiving transmission control instructions for a light beam of a predetermined predetermined wavelength. If necessary, the electronic control means are arranged to control the emission of the illumination beam so that the beam 15 has a wavelength corresponding to said predetermined wavelength chosen. In one example, the connection means comprise a plurality of conductive pads, each of which is electrically connected to at least one connection wire. Where appropriate; the various wires are inserted into a connection strip ending with as many connection pins, or contacts. the electrical interconnection support and the optical interface means are arranged in the housing. Preferably, the base comprises a first compartment intended to receive the electrical interconnection support. - The base comprises on one of its faces an optical aperture vis-à-vis the light means and adapted to cooperate with the optical interface means for guiding the lighting beam out of the housing. the base may comprise a second compartment, of which one side has an opening, the second compartment being intended to receive at least a part of the connection means and said connector so as to guarantee the mechanical contact between these connection means and this connector. - If necessary, the base may include a slot for cooperating with said connector, for example with a tab of said connector, so as to prevent disconnection of said connector. - Said slot is for example made in an extra thickness of a face of the compartment of the base and is disposed opposite said portion of the connection means disposed in the second compartment. - The lid comprises a first plate whose size is equal to that of an upper face of the base so as to close the latter in a way not allowing light to pass. the cover preferably further comprises a first referencing plate, for example formed by an extra thickness of the first plate, disposed on its inner face and corresponding to the dimensions of the first compartment of the base, intended to be adjusted in the first compartment when closing the case. the cover may comprise a second referencing plate, for example formed by an extra thickness of the first plate, disposed on its inner face and corresponding to the dimensions of the second compartment of the base, intended to be adjusted in the second compartment; when closing the case. the base is devoid of means for holding in place the interconnection support. - For example, the cover may further comprise holding lugs, for example formed on the first referencing plate and intended to come to press the interconnection support so as to maintain the latter in place when the lid is closed on the 'base. The cover preferably further comprises a holding plate, for example formed by an extra thickness of the second referencing plate, designed to press a part of the connecting means so as to mechanically hold the latter in position. place when the lid is closed on the base. - The cover is configured to cooperate with the base snap. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the detailed description which follows, given by way of indication and illustrated by the appended drawings, which represent: FIG. 1, an exploded perspective view of a embodiment of the lighting box according to the invention; - Figure 2, another perspective view of the lighting box of Figure 1; - Figure 3, a schematic view of an embodiment of the electronic circuit used in the lighting housing according to the invention.
[0005] In these different figures, the same references refer to the same elements.
[0006] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES FIG. 1 thus represents an exploded perspective view, seen from below, of one embodiment of the lighting module according to the invention, in the open position, and FIG. 2, a perspective view of FIG. this same case, still in open position but seen from above.
[0007] In these figures have been shown the lighting module comprising a housing, marked 1, having a base 20 and a cover 40, intended to be positioned on the base 20 to form the housing. The housing includes a hinge 50 between the base 20 and the cover 40, arranged to allow rotation of the cover relative to the base between a position in which the housing is open and a position in which the housing is closed, such as indicated by an arrow 10 in Figure 2. The housing 1 is for example made of plastic material; in this case, the base, the cover and the hinge can be made of the same material. The housing 1 is intended to receive an electronic circuit, for example disposed on an electrical interconnection support 3, such as a printed circuit board, the card 3 carrying luminous means emitting a light beam of illumination, optionally comprising optical interface means schematized by the reference 34 carried by the printed circuit board 3, as well as electronic control means of the light means, as described in more detail with reference to FIG. 3. The electronic circuit carried by the card 3 is electrically connected to the outside of the housing by means of connection means. These connection means comprise a set of conductive pads 31, for example four, each of which is electrically connected to a connection wire 35; the various son 35 are inserted into a connection strip 32 ending with as many connection pins 36, or contacts, here four.
[0008] The base 20 has for example generally the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped whose sixth face, upper face in Figures 1 and 2, is open and intended to receive the cover 40. Its lower face 27, opposite to the upper face , comprises for example two openings, 21 and 22, the opening 21 having the function of the optical interconnection of the housing 1 with the outside. The opening 22, for example in the form of a slot, is for example made in an excess thickness 26 of the lower face 27 of the base 20 and disposed opposite the contacts 36 of the printed circuit board 3; the opening 22 is intended to cooperate with said connector, for example with a clipping tab of the connector, so as to prevent disconnection of the connector. The base further comprises an opening on one of its sides, for example the small side 28 opposite that carrying the hinge 50, for the electrical interconnection of the housing 1 with the outside. In FIG. 2, it can be seen that the base comprises, for example, two compartments, one, marked 24, intended to receive the printed circuit board 3 and the second, 25, smaller, intended to receive at least a portion connection means of the card 3, namely in the example of the figures, the contacts 36. The connection means of the housing 1, including the contacts 36, are intended to cooperate with a connector to receive control instructions. The second compartment is also intended to receive this connector so as to guarantee the mechanical contact between the connection means and this connector. The cover 40 comprises a plate 46 whose dimension 20 is equal to that of the upper face of the base 20 so as to close the latter in a way that does not let the light. It also preferably comprises a second so-called referencing plate, or overlay, 44, disposed on its inner face and corresponding to the dimensions of the compartment 24 of the base, intended to fit into the compartment 24 during the closing the case. Similarly, the cover comprises a third referencing plate or extra thickness 45, intended to cooperate with the compartment 25 of the base. The elements 44 and 45 allow the correct positioning and the light-tightness of the cover 40 on the base 20. The cover 40 further includes, preferably, an extra thickness 43, arranged, for example on the 303 5 1 8 8 9 part 45, so as to come to press the terminal strip 32 and mechanically maintain the latter in place when the cover 40 is closed on the base 20. The cover 40 may further comprise lugs 41 and 42 cooperating with the base when closing the housing, and 5 more precisely intended to come to press the interconnection support 3 so as to mechanically hold the latter in place when the cover 40 is closed on the base 20. Figure 3 shows a view schematic of an embodiment of the electronic circuit used in the lighting box 1. In this figure, there is shown a face of the printed circuit board 3, on which we find the conductive pads 31 for example three in number. These ranges receive respectively the power supply (voltage and ground) and the control signals 15 flowing on the communication network of the vehicle, for example of the LIN type. The card 3 comprises electronic control means 302, for example a microprocessor, connected to the pads 31, preferably via electrical protection circuits 301, in particular to protect the components against overvoltages. Microprocessor 302 provides control and control of light emitting means 303 for illuminating a light beam having at least two distinct wavelengths; these transmission means comprise for example semiconductor emitter chips, preferably light emitting diodes or LEDs, for example three LEDs emitting respectively light radiation in the red, green and blue, so as to be able, by combining the emissions upon command of the means 302, obtain white light or any other chosen color. The light means are arranged in such a way that the light beam emitted by them is on the other side of the printed circuit board 3, as shown in FIG. 1. In a variant embodiment, it is possible to have all the electronic components, including the LEDs, on the same face of the printed circuit board 3. The connection means 31, 32, 35 and 36 are intended to cooperate with a connector to receive control instructions from emission of a light beam of a predetermined predetermined wavelength. If necessary, the electronic control means 302 are arranged to control the emission of the illumination beam so that the beam has a wavelength corresponding to said predetermined wavelength. The card 3 also preferably carries temperature sensing means 304 for sensing the temperature of the light means and connected to the microprocessor 302: indeed, the light emission and in particular its wavelength are likely to vary with the temperature, and the control of the light spectrum emitted by all the LEDs requires that the intensities emitted by each of them be corrected as a function of the temperature. The temperature sensor means comprise, for example, a thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient disposed near the light means and connected to the control means 302. The advantage of using such a component is its limited cost, its accuracy being adapted to the application considered.
